Kevin, a descendant of one of the ruling families in Leinster, studied under the care of three holy men. During this time he went to Glendalough and lived 'in the hollow of a tree'. Sounds like someone after Rocky's own heart. Kevin would later return to Glendalough with a small group of monks to form a monastery here in the 6th century.
